The fabulous traditional jazz combo of Sydney’s Bridge City Jazz Band and past members of Canberra’s famous Black Mountain Jazz Band are making a welcome return to Jazz at Jamison.

Playing your 1920’s favourite traditional Dixieland tunes with a New Orleans flavour, this vibrant and entertaining seven-piece band delivers a great afternoon of toe-tapping jazz, for listening or for dancing.

The band features our favourite Canberra trad musicians Tony Thomas on trumpet and Ron Cook on piano and on this occasion, the very talented local trombonist Owen Cooper who is stepping in for Mike Hallam. Completing the line-up are Dennis Quinlan on banjo, Colin Beale on reeds, Colin Davies on bass and almost local drummer, Ian Hill, up from the South Coast.

Free to members and guests of the Southern Cross Club.
