Jazz @ Jamison – 19th May

Captivating songstress Angela Lount fronts the Fedoras, an experienced group of musicians with an enormous explosive energy. This popular Canberra five-piece ensemble draws together some of the best in local musical talent.

Angela will be joined by Dan Maclean on trumpet, Wayne Kelly on keyboard, James Luke on bass and Mark Sutton on drums.

The band has an extensive play list, ranging from jazz and classic standards, through to disco, rock’n’roll and today’s popular music. Jazz is a favourite, however, and the audience can expect some upbeat swinging jazz, guaranteed to have your toes tapping.

The Fedoras are a highly professional music outfit with a great reputation in Canberra for polished performances that always entertain. Having played at most of Canberra’s leading venues, we are thrilled to welcome Angela Lount & the Fedoras back to ‘Jazz at Jamison’ after a 5-year hiatus.

Latest Newsletter

Please find attached the latest newsletter – just a regular issue, not much to report at present other than confirming the line up for the remainder of the year for ‘Jazz at Jamison’.

Our next session at Jamison is fast approaching – the eagerly awaited Geoff Power & his Great Gatsby Orchestra will be performing – no doubt, a highlight of the annual program! We have our usual 120 spots reserved for the CJC but I wouldn’t wait until 1pm to arrive looking for a seat in our reserved space – on this occasion, we do expect to fill our allocation quite early.

Yours in jazz
