Bridge City & Black Mountain Jazz Band

Making a welcome return to Jazz at Jamison is the fabulous combination of Sydney’s hugely popular Bridge City Jazz Band and past members of Canberra’s famous Black Mountain Jazz Band.   

Playing your 1920’s favourite traditional Dixieland tunes with a New Orleans flavour, this vibrant and entertaining seven-piece band always entertains.

The band features popular Canberra musicians Tony Thomas on trumpet and Ron Cook on piano. Joining them from the South Coast is the excellent drummer Ian Hill. Completing the line-up will be the highly experienced Bridge City Jazz Band members Dennis Quinlan on banjo, Mike Hallam on trombone and Colin Davies on bass. We are thrilled to have renowned Sydney clarinetist Jack Wiard standing in for regular band member Colin Beale. 

This is, undoubtedly, one of the best traditional jazz bands playing in Australia today!
