Jazz at Jamison welcomed boogie woogie queen and vocalist Carolyn Packer and her band, the Stompin’ Rhythm Aces.

Playing to rave reviews, this fun bad revives the speakeasy party of Prohibition days, where wild dancing and hot jazz were the norm.

To get the party swinging, the band draws from a wide variety of styles including traditional New Orleans jazz, early blues, boogie woogie, swing and gypsy jazz.

Carolyn hails from the Central Coast and she loves every opportunity to get together with her Sydney-based band. The Stompin’ Rhythm Aces is comprised of some of Sydney’s most experienced jazz musicians. Joining Carolyn in Canberra will be Greg Englert on trumpet, David Ridyard on sax & clarinet, Jim Fletcher on drums, Ed Rapo on double bass and Cameron Jones on his gypsy jazz guitar.

Carolyn Packer’s Stompin’ Rhythm Aces create a party atmosphere wherever they play.
